We got to enjoy a great birthday party for our girls today. The weather was great, so we were able to have it in our back yard.
Lots of friends and family were able to join us. We had a Tracy Cake (as usual...and she outdid herself), a small jump castle, lots of burgers, and lots of fun.

Today was Alexia and Brielle's second birthday.
As usual, we tried to have a small little party for them ahead of their big birthday party.
It is hard to believe that the girls are really two already. That is cliche, but it's the truth.

We took a short overnight trip this weekend to Colorado Springs along with Nona and PaPa John.
We drove directly to the North Pole amusement park, which was just perfect for our kids, then after a full day there we had dinner and a music show at the Flying W Ranch, which is always a good time.
The next day we woke up and, since it was raining, we were not able to meet our friends the Kuepper's at the Renaissance Festival as planned, so we took a quick side trip to Focus on the Family and then headed back home.
The Springs were not nearly as far as we thought, and we hope to be back soon.

We gave Andrew our small digital camera today, and we let him snap whatever pictures he wanted. Here are a couple that he got.

Today was cousin Hailey's sixth birthday party.
We all traveled South to join in the fun. There was a big bounce castle, lots of food, a Tracy Cake, and Jamie tried (and failed) to ride a neighbor's circus-style 8-foot-tall bicycle with one giant wheel and one tiny wheel.
It was a nice, warm day, and we were glad we could spent it with Hailey and many others.

Periodically, we try to spend some one-on-one time with our little boy, and tonight it was Mommy's turn to take Drew to the Wizard of Oz at the Candlelight Dinner Theatre.
Andrew was VERY excited and he found his belt and tie all by himself. Then he proceeded to force Mommy to wear a dress instead of the slacks she was planning on wearing. To him, girls have to be in a dress to be dressed up.
Drew had an absolute blast (as he usually does on these dates with Mommy) and was very well behaved at his first dinner theatre experience.
After the show, he posed for pictures with each of the main characters, and wanted to know when he could come back again.

Today was the Ice Cream Social for the VBS week that Drew took part in this summer.
Drew had more fun at VBS this year than last year, and he had a blast last year.

We had a garage sale in conjunction with the Holland Family today.
It turned out to be a lot of fun, and profitable too.

Yes, the date is correct on this entry.
This photo was captured on our lesser-used camera and was not taken off the memory card until three months later.
But some moments in life are just too much to pass up when it comes to adding them to The Deba Blog.
Yes, it could have been added where it belongs, but it may never get seen there, so it is going here.
Daddy captured this photo of Drew all of a sudden attacking him at work with a marshmallow shooter.
Sometimes you wish they would never have to grow up.
