Drew will be having an Imagination Movers birthday party soon, so today we went out shopping.
Tracy thought it would be nice to hang up some inflatable instruments, so she bought a big guitar and microphone.
Mitty didn't quite understand the decoration aspect of these purchases and was immediately convinced that they were his Smitty Guitar and microphone. We even had to fashion a microphone stand!
Now I don't think we can risk them getting damaged at the party, because Drew really uses them both a LOT.

Today, for some reason, Drew decided that he wanted to make a sailboat.
He was not convinced when we tried to steer him toward a pretend sailboat in his mind.
So, Jamie found a box and went to work with Drew to make a sailboat, complete with a sail.
The sail says "Happy Birthday Second Wawa" if you can't read Drew writing. The 2 at the end means Second Wawa.

A long time ago we got Drew a can of Silly String but we have never used it.
Unfortunately, somehow the sprayer got disconnected from the can, so it ended up being pretty much a big dud.
Drew still liked it, though. We play on trying this again sometime.

A bit of success

Mitty made another centerpiece today
(If you don't know what that means, you obviously need to read our blog more often.)

To further complete Drew's look as he tries to become 100% Smitty from the Imagination Movers, Tracy found him some costume glasses today to be his Smitty Glasses.
Yes, the glasses look a lot like those from a Harry Potter costume, but our little Smitty doesn't know and doesn't care.
We think he is really cute, and are sure you will agree.

We gathered for a dinner celebration of Nona's birthday today.
We had a great time and a great meal at Famous Dave's BBQ.
The kids were very well behaved and that always makes for a fun experience when we are at a restaurant. That's opposed to being "that family."

The Calls paid us a visit today, and we had a nice dinner and the kids enjoyed some time to play together.
It is always nice to see the Call family because we live about an hour apart and it doesn't happen too often.

Just another day in the Deba household today.
The girls really like to try to ride their little cars.
It wasn't too long ago that they were learning to walk with these convertable toys. Now they have almost outgrown the car mode and we will no longer have a use for them.

We headed up to Fort Collins this evening to visit the Williams family and their new baby Teegan. (Did I spell that right?)
We had a great time, and the kids seemed to have an even better time. How could they not when you mix pizza and playtime?
The baby seemed tiny to us until Robin reminded us that he is about the total weight of the girls when they were born. It is hard to remember them ever being that small!

The girls' Halloween costumes arrived in the mail today.
You may not be surprised at all to learn that one will be Dorothy and the other a cute version of the Wicked Witch.
We are not sure which will be witch yet, though.
We can't go wrong either way, and we are sure you will agree after seeing these pictures.

After waiting a very long time in great anticipation, the Imagination Movers TV show finally started today.
It is impossible to describe just how excited Mitty was. He didn't really understand what we meant when we tried to get him excited for today.
He watched the show a couple of times and wanted to watch some more, but we had to set a limit or he would never sleep again.

Drew and Daddy had another Imagination Movers Dance Party tonight while Mommy was at some Cake or Stamping or Mom's Night Out thing, and it was tons of fun as always.
An Imagination Movers Dancy Party is where Drew (Smitty/Mitty) and Mom and/or Dad watch his Imagination Movers DVD and dance/clap/sing/jump/slide/hide/run along with them.
A full Dance Party is about 45 minutes long, and there is no such thing as a partial Dance Party.
Drew got particularly hot and sweaty tonight, so had to snap a few pictures.

Sometimes you have to post pictures just because the kids are so darn cute.
